If objects exist in a local copy of the database already, you might run into inconsistencies when doing a pg_restore. I imported a database (sql file) into a newly created database. For example, you can create a full backup. In the properties pane, select Outputs + logs > Register dataset. Select the component that outputs the data you want to register. You can also register the output for any designer component as a dataset. Load the dump into your local database using the pg_restore tool. When you use RDS, you access files stored in Amazon S3 rather than using the local file system on the database server. You can register existing datasets programatically with the SDK or visually in Azure Machine Learning studio. $ heroku pg:backups:download -app example-app $ heroku pg:backups:capture -app example-app To export the data from your Heroku Postgres database, create a new backup and download it. The Database Import Wizard available with InstallAware Studio Admin is a great tool for unpacking the contents and logic inside Windows Installer setup. phpMyAdmin allows you to import databases up to 256 MB (sometimes a little less, if the database has a lot of rows). The import operation will begin immediately. I only get text on command line which explains me how to use mysql command. Now, when I am trying to import the data into my machine using the command ' mysql -uroot -p databasename tablename < backup.sql ' I am not getting anything. Review the list of data elements that are cleaned up from the backup file. The command I used to create the dump was mysqldump -uroot -p databasename tablename > backup.sql. For databases that are larger than 20 GB, see Capturing Logical Backups on Larger Databases. From JSON to APIs to another database, you can retrieve data from nearly any source and use it to populate your graph. Select Import database and choose your source database backup (.bacpac format) file from the Asset Library. Contention for the I/O, memory and CPU needed for backing up a larger database becomes prohibitive at a moderate load and the longer run time increases the chance of an error that will end your backup capture prematurely. In general, PGBackups are intended for moderately loaded databases up to 20 GB. As compared to the plain-text format, the custom format options results in backup files that can be much smaller. Note that the resulting backup file uses the custom format option in pg_dump. PG Backups uses the native pg_dump PostgreSQL tool to create its backup files, making it trivial to export to other PostgreSQL installations.
